When our team feels good it shows in everything we do – from how we solve problems to how we support our clients. That’s why, over the month of October, the Aquaflo Hire and Truflo Pumps teams took on a month long wellbeing challenge designed to build healthier, stronger and more connected teams.
The reuslts? Collectively 15.9 million steps – that’s roughly 12,200km or the distance from NSW to Los Angeles.

Four Weeks, Four Focus Areas
The challenge wasn’t just about racking up steps. Each week targeted a different aspect of wellbeing –
- Week 1. Move More, Stress Less – getting both body and mind in gear with daily movement goals
- Week 2. Fuel the Machine – focusing on nutrition and sustainable energy throughout the work day
- Week 3. Cut it Out – challenging everyone to ditch one unhealthy habit for the month
- Week 4. Look out for Your Mates – prioritising connection and mental health support within the team
Individual and team step challenges ran for the whole month, keeping the competitive spirit alive and pedometers working overtime.

Standout Efforts
Some serious individual achievements emerged –
- Joey R hit an incredible 47,946 steps in a single day (NSW)
- Ana G clocked up 773,224 steps for the month (NSW)
- Michael P followed close behind with 759, 415 steps (NSW)
- Emma B rounded out the top performers with 635,216 steps (NSW
Sad to say, if this was a State of Origin challenge, NSW took it out in a clean sweep

The Grand Finale
Both the Queensland and New South Wales teams wrapped up with physical challenges and celebratory team walks. In the fitness challenge –
- Qld: Darren managed 50 push-ups, Lindsay hit 100 sit-ups and Paul planked for 4 minutes 17 seconds
- NSW: Tristan planked for and incredible 6 minutes 18 seconds, Declan completed 52 push-ups and Glen managed 78 sit-ups

For the final team walks, NSW tackled the iconic Mt Panorama circuit ion Bathurst, while the Qld crew had the tough assignment of walking Coolum Beach before cooling off in the surf.
Why it Matters
The wellbeing challenge wasn’t just about fitness – it was about building stronger teams who support each other, stay energised and bring their best to every client interaction.
When you’re dealing with dewatering emergencies at 2am or engineering custom solutions for complex sites, having a team that’s physically and mentally sharp makes all the difference.
Our wellbeing challenge reinforced what we already knew – when our people feel good, our service is better. And that benefits everyone we work with across Australia.
Need Pumps that work and people who care? Our energised, fit(ish) and ready to help teams are here for you. Quick. Smart.
